How can I pay my electricity bill?

We offer a range of payment options to suit your needs…

1. You can pay your bill online by debit or credit card.

Sign up or Login to your Online Billing account to pay by card. When you login you can select to Make a Payment on the Account Overview page. Or you can phone us on 0345 600 5335 with your card details and we will process your payment.

2. Sign up to Direct Debit

You can take the hassle out of paying your electricity bill by signing up for Direct Debit.
You can set up or update your Direct Debit in your Online Billing account. Login or sign up here.

To sign up for Direct Debit you'll need:

  • The name on your bank account
  • Your bank account number
  • Your bank sort code

Alternatively you can sign up for direct debit by contacting our Customer Care Team on 0345 600 5335. Please have the following information to hand when you ring:

  • Your Electric Ireland account number or MPRN.
  • Your bank details including account number and sort code.

You can also download and complete our Direct Debit mandate form.
Return your completed form to:

Belfast BT7 2JD
Northern Ireland

We can then set up your Direct Debit.

3. By post

You can send a cheque by post, made payable to Electric Ireland. Send this along with your completed Bank Giro Credit Transfer slip which is attached to the bottom of your bill. Please send your cheque to:
